Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Buyerson Inc., which operates PuckFinder ("PuckFinder", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, registering for a session, or otherwise using PuckFinder (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What PuckFinder is

PuckFinder is a platform that helps families discover, register for, and pay for youth hockey sessions, clinics, camps, and programs offered by independent organizers, coaches, and clubs ("Organizers"). PuckFinder is a marketplace and booking tool — we are not the Organizer of the sessions listed, and we do not run, coach, supervise, or control them. Your registration and attendance are an agreement between you and the Organizer.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• When you register a child for a session, you confirm that you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or that you are otherwise authorized to register them and to provide their information.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
• The information you provide must be accurate and kept up to date.

3. Registrations, prices, and payments

• Organizers set their own session details, prices, capacity, and rules. PuckFinder displays this information but does not guarantee its accuracy or availability.
• When a session has a fee, you can pay by card through our payment processor, Stripe, or by another method the Organizer offers (such as e-Transfer). Card payments are handled by Stripe; PuckFinder does not see or store your full card number.
• Payments for a session are collected on behalf of the Organizer and paid out to them, less any PuckFinder platform fee. The Organizer — not PuckFinder — is responsible for delivering the session you paid for.
• A platform fee may apply to a transaction. Where a fee applies, it is reflected at checkout.

4. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation and refund terms are set and handled by the Organizer of each session. If you need to cancel or request a refund, contact the Organizer directly; their cancellation policy (including any deadlines) governs. PuckFinder may help facilitate communication or processing, but PuckFinder is not responsible for issuing refunds for sessions it does not run and does not guarantee any particular refund outcome.

5. Your responsibilities and conduct

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms.
• Don't misuse the Service — for example, by attempting to access other users' data, disrupting the platform, scraping, or registering people without authorization.
• You're responsible for assessing whether a session is appropriate and safe for your child, and for any waivers, medical disclosures, or requirements the Organizer asks for.

6. Organizers

If you use PuckFinder as an Organizer, you additionally agree that you are responsible for the accuracy of your listings, for delivering your sessions, for setting and honoring your own cancellation and refund policies, for the safety and supervision of participants, and for complying with all laws that apply to your programs (including those relating to working with minors). You agree to handle participant information you receive through PuckFinder responsibly and only to run your sessions.

7. Assumption of risk

Hockey and related activities involve inherent physical risks. PuckFinder does not supervise sessions and is not responsible for injuries, losses, or incidents that occur during a session or activity. Any waivers or assumption-of-risk agreements are between you and the Organizer.

8. Third-party services and links

The Service relies on third parties (such as Stripe for payments and our hosting, email, and analytics providers) and may link to Organizer or other third-party sites. We are not responsible for third-party services or content, which are governed by their own terms.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that listings are accurate or complete.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Buyerson Inc. and PuckFinder will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from a session or Organizer. To the extent we are found liable, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount of PuckFinder platform fees you paid to us in the twelve months before the claim, or CA$50.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Buyerson Inc. and PuckFinder from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your registrations, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm others, the platform, or us.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts located in that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any non-waivable rights you have under applicable consumer law.
